Bio

Tanya van Graan is a South African actress and creative with over two decades of experience across television, film, theatre, and music. She began her career in 2004 with local productions, making her debut in the SABC3 series Hard Copy, followed by roles in Binnenlanders and M-Net's acclaimed drama Snitch. Her stage presence led her to musical theatre, where she starred in Janice Honeyman's Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates in 2010.

Tanya's screen work includes both local and international projects, with recent film credits including Muzzle: City of Wolves opposite Aaron Eckhart, Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die with Sam Rockwell, as well as Redeeming Love and Escape Room: Tournament of Champions, to name a few.

Beyond acting, Tanya's love for storytelling has taken her into the world of music. In 2010, she released an Afrikaans solo album and, earlier in her career, performed as part of a band. More recently, she collaborated with her now-fiancé, ARD Matthews, on an Afrikaans love song titled Die Rede. Her musical journey has always run parallel to her work in theatre, each form feeding the other.

At heart, Tanya is a creator. Whether it's film, stage, voice, or song-she follows the spark. For her, it's always been about the joy of making something meaningful, whatever the medium.
