Danica Davis (she/her) is a trained screen actress, 3rd Assistant Director, Model and a freelance Studio Director. She is a trans woman and an activist for the Trans and Queer community.
She was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa - left home at 21 to study Drama and Art History at Rhodes University in 2014. She later moved to Johannesburg where she bartended at Hell’s Kitchen on the famous 7th Street in Melville. Her introduction to the film industry began in 2019 working on the film Rogue starring Megan Fox. She was the personal assistant to director MJ Bassett and later went on to 3rd assistant direct and star in two more MJ Bassett films, Endangered Species and the upcoming Red Sonja reboot set for 2024 release. She was part of the top billed cast in Red Sonja, acting alongside Matilda Lutz and Robert Sheehan which was filmed at NuBoyana Studios in Bulgaria.
In 2021 she moved to the beautiful city of Cape Town to pursue her acting career and to finally live by the ocean and has never looked back! Since arriving she has starred in films directed by Ryan Kruger, Pieter Grobbelaar and Robert Dos Santos.
She is currently creating, developing and producing her own skin and hair care brand, O’Mara Aesthetics, that will be available to the public later this year.
