Mpilo May is a versatile and award-winning South African actor. He has performed in England, USA, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Rwanda, Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
His one man shows, Pay Back the Curry (2016), State Fracture (2017) and Land Acts (2018) had him nominated for four Fleur Du Cap theatre awards and won him two Naledi Theatre awards. The shows were written by award-winning playwright, Mike Van Graan who is one of South Africa's most prolific - and critically acclaimed - playwrights with 36 plays under his belt.
Mpilo is a Chevening Alumnus who has his Masters in Film Producing from Met Film School, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Arts in Bilingual Acting from the University Of Cape Town.
His theatrical highlights include playing William Shakespeare in Shakespeare in Love and Bernardo in West Side Story.
