Bio

Nokukhanya Marcia Masango is a Cape Town-based actor with a global soul and an insatiable curiosity for storytelling. A graduate of the prestigious Italia

Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London, where she earned a BA (Hons) in Acting, she brings a dynamic blend of classical training, natural instincts, and a

rich personal history shaped by a life spent across continents. Born into a world of movement—thanks to her father’s work in diplomacy—

Nokukhanya has called Beijing, Canberra, Warsaw, and London home. This ever-shifting backdrop gave her a deep appreciation for cultural nuance, an ear for

accents, and a chameleonic adaptability that mirrors her craft. She thrives in the space between worlds, slipping into characters with full-bodied empathy and a

touch of mischief, always in search of the unspoken, the overlooked, and the stories that demand to be told.

Her stage work spans from Shakespeare’s ethereal Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream to the razor-sharp wit of comedic period pieces, embodying

characters like Jacqueline Maingot in French Without Tears and Lucienne in An Absolute Turkey. Beyond the stage, her love for voice work led her to become a

runner-up in the BBC’s Carlton Hobbs Bursary Award Competition, granting her the opportunity to perform in radio plays for the BBC—an experience that

solidified her knack for vocal storytelling.  With a voice that’s intimate yet commanding and a gift for seamless accent work

—ranging from General American to Standard English and general Australian— Nokukhanya brings authenticity and nuance to every role. Whether on screen,

stage, or behind the microphone, she remains committed to creating work that resonates, offering audiences that same sense of belonging and wonder she felt as

a child, captivated by the magic of performance.
