Melissa De Vries-Joseph is a South African actress, dancer, and MC from Blackheath, Cape Town. A multifaceted, seasoned creative with a growing body of work across screen and stage, she entered the entertainment industry in 2012/2013 and has since built a career across television, film, theatre, voiceover and live events.

She holds a Diploma in Speech and Drama (NQF Level 7) and has trained in television and film. Her screen work includes Arendsvlei, Die Oord, Taktiek, Skemegrond, and recent film The Heart is a Muscle. On stage, she received a nomination at the Woordfees for her performance in Kompoun.

A two-time Best Actress award winner for her work in short films, Melissa brings depth and range to every role. She is the founder of MDV Productions, under which she has produced internationally recognised short films and a show, A Walk with Mel. As a host and MC, she has worked on major platforms including Hip Hop International, Red Bull BC One, Red Bull Dance Your Style and Fuji film Undisputed Breaking Competition.
